The AIA Golden Empire Chapter (AIAGE) is a non-profit, professional association of licensed architects, architectural interns and allied professionals in Bakersfield and Kern County. We are a local component of the AIA which has more than 81,000 members and comprises 300 component organizations, such as AIAGE, across the county and around the world to serve the needs of U.S. architects at the national, state, and local levels. AIAGE works to increase public awareness of the built environment and the role architects and professionals play in making our community a better place to live.

The Chapter boundaries include the following communities: Arvin, Bakersfield, Buttonwillow, California City, China Lake, Delano, Frazier Park, Inyokern, Lake Isabella, Lebec, Lost Hills, Maricopa, McFarland, Mettler, Mojave, Oildale, Ridgecrest, Rosamond, Shafter, Taft, Tehachapi, and Wasco.

Mission

Our mission as a chapter is to empower our members to provide ever increasing value in serving the unique needs of Kern County and to be the primary resource regarding the built environment for our members and the community.
