The objective of the Robert F. Stuhr Scholarship Program is to provide opportunities to young students in our community who are pursuing academic or vocational studies in architecture to become productive citizens within their professional careers.

Scholarship recipients will receive funds to that are to be used for tuition, fees, books, tools, and supplies

Eligibility

The American Institute of Architects Golden Empire Chapter will award scholarships to full time students enrolled at an accredited school or in a certificated professional program. Any senior high school student or post-graduate high school student for the academic year in which Scholarship Awards are offered or granted are eligible. Individuals may make an application for award in successive years, as the Awards may be offered. Relatives of AIAGE Board members are ineligible during, and one-year after, their respective term of service on the Board.

Application Criteria

Applicants must submit the following:

  1. School Transcript of grades.
  2. Two signed letters of recommendation.
    • Letters of recommendation must be from a professor, mentor, coach, co-worker, or anyone who has influenced your academic career path/ choice.
  3. Completed Robert F. Stuhr Scholarship Application (link at bottom of page).
  4. Personal Statement (2 pages max).

Selection Criteria

The individual achievement will be evaluated primarily in context of the candidate’s demonstrated potential to complete their academic or training goals, demonstrated achievement and performance in civic activities or service, and in relation to the achievement of other candidates.
